Lot 953: Vintage Acorn Coin-Operated One Cent Gumball Vending Machine
An Acorn coin-operated gumball vending machine manufactured by Oak Manufacturing. The item features a red-painted metal base and lid with a clear acrylic globe. It is fitted with a chrome-plated rotary coin-operated mechanism and a matching chrome-plated metal dispensing flap. The interior of the globe currently contains a decorative string of ten battery-powered LED lights, with each clear plastic bulb containing multicoloured pom-poms. A clear plastic battery housing containing two AA batteries is present within the globe. A small yellow rectangular label is visible on the interior surface of the globe with illegible text. The machine appears to be mounted to a central stand.
