Lot 984: Edwardian Jacobean Revival Carved Oak Armchair with Spindle Gallery and Button Back Upholstery
An Edwardian-era armchair constructed from dark-stained oak in the Jacobean Revival style. The high back features a top rail and central panel decorated with relief-carved foliate and floral motifs, situated above a gallery of turned spindles. The open arms include carved hand-rests and supports. The chair is upholstered in a blue-grey velvet-effect fabric, with a deep-buttoned backrest featuring nine tufted buttons and a plain, stuffed seat cushion. The front legs are mounted on small casters.
