Lot 104: A Vintage Matchbox Collectibles Models of Yesteryear Die-cast Citroen H Van
A vintage Matchbox Collectibles Models of Yesteryear die-cast Citroen H Van, depicting a 1947 H-Type Integral model. The vehicle is constructed with a die-cast metal body finished in cream with a contrasting red roof and red plastic wheel hubs. The side panels feature printed advertising graphics for Moutarde de Meaux and Pommery. The black plastic chassis is moulded with a Matchbox logo and inscribed with text reading © 1993 MATCHBOX COLLECTIBLES, MADE IN CHINA, MODELS OF YESTERYEAR, CITROEN H-TYPE INTEGRAL VAN 1947, and the model number YTF3. The vehicle is accompanied by a white plastic display plinth with an adhesive nameplate reading 1947 CITROEN H Van – MARCILLAT and an original cardboard box from the A Taste of France series, number 4 of 6, also labelled for the Marcillat variant. Two metal securing screws and three white plastic mounting spacers are included loose. Note that the livery on the vehicle does not match the Marcillat branding on the included box and plinth.
