Lot 108: A Vintage Vanguards Morris Commercial Royal Mail Van
A vintage Vanguards Morris Commercial Royal Mail van, precision die-cast in 1:43 scale and finished in the iconic two-tone red and black post office livery. The vehicle features a black roof and black wings, with gold-coloured lettering to the side panels reading ROYAL MAIL beneath the E R royal cypher of Queen Elizabeth II. A circular POST OFFICE emblem is printed to the cabin doors. This limited edition model, identified as catalogue number VA07501, is presented in its original green window box with a yellow plastic display tray. It is accompanied by its factory-sealed accessory pack containing a pair of unapplied chrome-effect wing mirrors on a plastic sprue, a replica 1956 tax disc, and an instruction slip bearing the code IN0527. Also included is a yellow limited edition certificate stating the model is number 0226 of 15,000 distributed worldwide. The outer box bears a white adhesive auction label from HCP Auctions South West reading Lot 108.
