Lot 168: A Vintage Matchbox Models of Yesteryear Die-Cast 1939 Albion Libby's Truck
A vintage Matchbox Models of Yesteryear die-cast 1939 Albion Libby’s truck, presented in its original red and gold window display box. This 1:60 scale model represents an Albion 10 Ton CX27 flatbed truck featuring a white cab decorated with red Libby’s script, a light blue bed, and a dark blue chassis. The flatbed is loaded with approximately 32 chrome-finished plastic milk churns, and the vehicle is mounted on dark blue plastic wheels with green-painted hubs. The dark blue underside of the chassis features a stylized Matchbox script logo and raised lettering reading MATCHBOX INT’L LTD, MADE IN CHINA, ALBION CX27, Y-42, and a 1990 copyright date. The top flap of the cardboard packaging is printed with Y-42 1939 ALBION 10 TON CX 27.
