Lot 219: A Vintage Matchbox Models of Yesteryear Pepsi-Cola 1912 Ford Model T Delivery Van
A vintage Matchbox Models of Yesteryear Pepsi-Cola 1912 Ford Model T delivery van, manufactured in England by Lesney Products & Co. Ltd. The vehicle features a die-cast metal body finished in white with a blue chassis and red accents. The sides are decorated with the Pepsi-Cola logo in red script, accompanied by a 12 MPH decal on the lower rear flank. The model includes a red textured plastic roof, a silver-tone radiator and engine block, and black plastic spoked wheels on metal axles. The blue die-cast base is embossed with several legible marks: MADE IN ENGLAND, MATCHBOX, MODELS OF YESTERYEAR, 1912 FORD MODEL T, a copyright symbol followed by 1978, and LESNEY PROD. & CO. LTD. The item is accompanied by its original maroon and gold window box with a cream plastic insert tray. A white adhesive label from HCP Auctions South West reading Lot 219 is affixed to the internal tray.
