The model is constructed from die-cast metal with a green painted body, red spoked wheels, and a black steering wheel and flywheel. The underside of the front axle assembly features cast lettering reading LESNEY and No 1. The lot includes the original plain cardboard box, which bears a printed adhesive label reading MATCHBOX YESTERYEAR / Y1 ALLCHIN 7 N.P.H. / STEAM TRACTION ENGINE / GREEN BODY, RED WHEELS.
