Lot 42: A Vintage Vanguards 1:64 Scale Bedford 'S' Type Tanker in Regent Livery
A vintage Vanguards 1:64 scale die-cast Bedford ‘S’ Type Tanker in the red livery of the Regent oil company. The model features a die-cast metal cab and tank with plastic components, finished with a black chassis and black wheels with red hubs. The cylindrical tank is printed with the white ‘Regent’ logo to both sides. The vehicle is presented in its original packaging, consisting of a yellow and green card outer box, a tan plastic internal tray, and a clear form-fitted insert. The set is complete with its original ephemera, including a collector card featuring a photograph of the model marked ‘VA7000 REGENT’, a promotional leaflet for the ‘1950s & 60s’ range, and an unused sheet of water-slide number plate decals bearing the code ‘IN0551’. The box is clearly marked with the ‘Vanguards’ branding and the text ‘DESIGNED AND BUILT IN ENGLAND’.
