Lot 45: Three Vintage Matchbox Models of Yesteryear Vehicles
Three vintage Matchbox Models of Yesteryear vehicles, manufactured in England by Lesney Products & Co. Ltd. between 1977 and 1979. The collection comprises three individual models constructed with die-cast metal bodies and plastic components. The first is a 1927 Talbot delivery van finished in yellow with a black textured plastic roof, featuring red and white decals for Taystee Old Fashioned Enriched Bread and red spoked wheels. The second is a 1937 Cord Model 812 Supercharged Convertible Phaeton Sedan in red with a white plastic roof and chrome-effect bumpers and external pipes. The third is a 1945 MG TC sports car with a cream body, tan roof, and brown chassis and fenders. Each vehicle features free-rolling wheels with white-walled tyres and detailed base plates embossed with Matchbox branding, model designations, and copyright dates. The Talbot base is marked 1978, the MG base 1977, and the Cord base 1979.
