A vintage Matchbox Lesney No 5 London Routemaster bus, complete with its original period packaging. This die-cast model is finished in a vibrant red paint with a white plastic interior and black plastic wheels on metal axles. The sides of the vehicle are embellished with paper decals featuring a white background, green borders, the BP logo, and Longlife advertising text. The base of the bus features raised cast lettering reading MADE IN ENGLAND BY LESNEY, ‘MATCHBOX’ SERIES, No 5, and ROUTEMASTER BUS. The original yellow cardboard pictorial box is printed with A LESNEY PRODUCT and displays the Matchbox Series branding alongside the model number 5.
