Lot 1018: A Vintage Dot Silver Studio Doll Making Kit
A vintage Dot Silver Studio doll making kit, containing unpainted bisque components designed for a toddler-scale figure. The set is presented in its original white cardboard box, which bears vertical black printed text identifying the maker as DOT SILVER and the location as STUDIO. The lid features a central reference photograph of a finished doll wearing a red plaid shirt and denim dungarees, which includes a date stamp in the lower right corner reading 19 10 94. The internal components, including the head, shoulder plate, arms, and hands, are wrapped in protective bubble wrap. A small plastic bag containing metal assembly hardware is visible. The box lid also carries a handwritten inscription in black marker reading Bisque to Paint wigs eyes etc. An adhesive white label from HCP Auctions South West is affixed to the upper right corner, marked as Lot 1018.
Condition report:
The unpainted bisque components appear to be in good, unused condition and remain in their original protective bubble wrap (photo 2). The original cardboard box shows significant signs of age, including overall yellowing and surface staining (photo 1). The reference photograph on the lid has a prominent diagonal crease (photo 1). The box edges exhibit moderate wear and scuffing consistent with storage (photo 1).
