Lot 1025: A Vintage Pine Triple-door Side Cabinet
A vintage pine triple-door side cabinet of late 20th-century manufacture, constructed from solid pine throughout with visible knots and natural grain. The unit features a triple-door front arrangement. The two doors on the left open as a pair to reveal a shared interior space, while the door on the right is designed with a panelled face to simulate two drawer fronts and is mounted on two barrel hinges. The cabinet is equipped with curved brushed-metal pull handles, comprising two large vertical handles on the primary doors and two smaller horizontal handles on the right-hand door. The interior provides open storage space, currently shown containing miscellaneous household items that are not part of the lot (photo 2). No maker’s marks, labels, or signatures are visible on the cabinet, though an illegible white auction lot sticker is present on the separate furniture piece situated beneath it.

Condition report:
The cabinet is in used condition with signs of domestic wear throughout. Visible defects include surface scuffing and small indentations to the pine doors and frame (photo 1). There is localised staining and dirt build-up around the handles from frequent contact (photo 1). Various small scratches and light water marks are present on the front panels (photo 1). A visible gap is apparent in the horizontal panel joinery on the right-hand door (photo 1). Natural cracking to some knots is visible, which is typical for this type of softwood furniture (photo 1).
