Lot 1027: A Vintage Glass and Metal Folding Side Table with Red Poppy Motif
A vintage glass and metal folding side table with a red poppy motif, featuring a circular relief-moulded glass top. The glass panel is decorated with a vibrant, textured floral scene depicting several large red poppies with yellow-rimmed petals and dark centres, set amongst green foliage and stems against a gradient background of blue and green with white cloud formations. The glass top is secured within a black-painted metal perimeter rim. The table is supported by a black tubular metal X-frame folding base, designed for portability and storage. An adhesive paper auction label is taped to the upper glass surface, printed with the text HCP Auctions South West, Lot 1027, and a website address, with the price £36 handwritten in yellow marker. A small white rectangular label printed with ST21 is adhered to one of the metal legs. No manufacturer’s marks or signatures were observed on the glass or the frame.

The item is in good used condition. The relief-moulded glass top appears free of chips, cracks, or significant scratches, although there is visible adhesive residue and tape on the surface (photo 1). The black-painted metal frame shows minor scuffing and light wear to the finish consistent with general use (photo 2). The folding mechanism is functional and the structure is stable.
