Lot 1061: A Mid-Century Teak Dining Table and Set of Chairs
A mid-century teak dining table and set of chairs, comprising a circular dining table and a matching set of ladder-back chairs. The table features a circular top with a prominent grain pattern consistent with teak veneer and is finished with a solid wood edge banding. The chairs are designed with curved, five-slat ladder-back rests and are upholstered in a dark charcoal fabric, with the frames supported by square-section tapered legs. The suite exhibits the clean lines and organic forms characteristic of Scandinavian-influenced furniture design from the 1960s. A white rectangular adhesive label bearing the printed black number ‘1061’ is applied to the tabletop, and a corresponding label is visible on a chair frame.
Large-scale furniture items; exact dimensions are not provided.
Condition report:
Adhesive residue and labels are present on the finished surfaces of the tabletop and chair frames (photo 1). The suite displays surface dust and light scuffing throughout, consistent with age and warehouse storage (photo 1). Minor finish wear is observable along the edges of the chair frames (photo 1).
