Lot 1076: A Vintage Glass and Textured Upholstered Dining Suite
A vintage glass and textured upholstered dining suite, comprising a rectangular dining table and matching chairs. The table features a thick, beveled glass top supported by four cylindrical legs, each upholstered in a dark brown pebbled-texture material, likely vinyl or faux leather. The matching chairs are designed with modern cantilever-style frames constructed from polished chrome-plated tubular metal, which curves to support the backrest and terminates in exposed tubular ends. The chairs are upholstered in the same brown textured material as the table legs, presenting a uniform grain pattern across the suite. A white rectangular adhesive label is affixed to the glass top, printed with the text MCP Auctions South West and Lot 1076. No other manufacturer labels, stamps, or marks are visible on the pieces.
Large-scale furniture items; exact dimensions are not provided.
Condition report:
The glass tabletop displays significant surface dust and scratching throughout (photo 1). The chrome-plated frames show minor surface marks and light oxidation consistent with age and use (photo 4). The textured upholstery appears structurally sound across all pieces, although some light surface grime is visible in the grain (photo 2 and 3). Several chairs appear to be missing protective floor glides from the tubular metal bases (photo 4).
