Lot 116: A Vintage Record Cast Iron Bench Vice and Assorted Branded Fixings
A vintage Record cast iron bench vice and assorted branded fixings, the woodworking vice featuring a heavy cast iron body finished in the manufacturer’s signature blue paint. The front jaw bears raised lettering reading RECORD and MADE IN ENGLAND. The tool is constructed with a central steel screw mechanism flanked by two cylindrical guide bars and is operated by a sliding T-bar handle. Accompanying the vice is a blue plastic crate containing a collection of partially used hardware in its original packaging. Identifiable brands within the assortment include Screwfix and EF Fixings & Fasteners, with visible contents including galvanised clout nails and various steel screws. A white adhesive lot sticker from HGP Auctions South West, bearing the number 116, is affixed to the side of the vice body.
