Lot 181: A Vintage Flo Gas 13kg Steel Butane Cylinder
A vintage Flo Gas 13kg steel butane cylinder, constructed from steel and finished in a utilitarian yellow paint. The cylindrical body features a red and white logo reading ‘FLO GAS’ and ‘BUTANE UN 1011 Net Weight 13KG’. A blue safety label at the valve assembly includes the text ‘FLO GAS BUTANE Extremely Flammable’ and indicates compatibility for ’21MM YELLOW CAP’ and ’20MM BLUE CAP’ regulators. Black hand-marked characters ‘T13 12.6’ are located on the cylinder shoulder. The unit is fitted with a protective top collar and a base foot ring for stability. A white adhesive label reads ‘HCP Auctions South West Lot 181’. An orange plastic cap covers a side port, but the main regulator valve is exposed. The internal fill level and valve functionality are untested.
