Lot 186: Two Vintage Green-Painted Cast Iron Garden Pedestal Bases
Two vintage green-painted cast iron garden pedestal bases, intended for use as supports for birdbaths, sundials, or small garden tabletops. The larger base features a circular domed foot with a decorative pierced rim of vertical slots, leading to a faceted central column and a circular mounting plate with four pre-drilled bolt holes. The second base is smaller and of a more ornate design, featuring a decorative openwork circular foot with scrolling filigree motifs and a fluted central column terminating in a similar circular top plate. Both units are constructed from solid cast iron and finished in a weathered green paint. The larger base is affixed with a white rectangular paper label bearing the printed number 186. The smaller base bears a white rectangular paper label with the handwritten characters S7 66 in yellow marker. No legible manufacturer names or foundry stamps are visible on the exterior surfaces of either pedestal.
