Lot 191: A Pair of Vintage Weathered Cast Stone Garden Pedestals
A pair of vintage weathered cast stone garden pedestals, each featuring a classical baluster form suitable for outdoor display. Constructed from cast composition stone, the pedestals exhibit a heavily aged patina with significant moss and lichen growth across the circular flat tops and central columns. Each column is decorated with a band of foliate relief carvings, positioned above a flared base embellished with gadrooned ornamentation. A white rectangular adhesive label reading ‘Lot 191’ is applied to the top surface of one pedestal, while a second white rectangular adhesive label reading ‘185’ is visible on the floor beside the other. No maker’s marks, manufacturer stamps, or signatures are legible on the surface of the stone.
