Lot 237: A Collection of Mid-20th Century Copper and Brass Jugs
A collection of mid-20th century copper and brass jugs and decorative metalware. The principal items include two large pitchers with bulbous, globular bodies constructed from spun copper sheet, featuring prominent horizontal central join seams. These vessels taper into elongated, flared trumpet-shaped necks and are each fitted with a single curved brass handle. The collection further includes several small brass teapots and kettles of varying designs, featuring cast spouts and swing handles, alongside a flared brass pedestal base. The items exhibit a natural aged patina with scattered surface oxidation and green verdigris. No maker’s marks, signatures, hallmarks, or country-of-origin labels are visible on any of the pieces.
