Lot 331: A Vintage Scalextric Plastic New Beetle Cup Slot Car Racing Set
A vintage Scalextric plastic New Beetle Cup slot car racing set, themed around the Volkswagen New Beetle racing series. The set features two racing cars identified on the packaging as Beetle No 17 in yellow and VW Beetle No 18 in green. The included plastic track components allow for multiple configurations, including a figure-of-eight and an oval layout. The track sections are finished in black with tan-coloured borders featuring red and white painted kerb detailing. The front of the illustrated cardboard box bears the printed Scalextric logo in blue and yellow at the top right, with the title New Beetle Cup printed in large white lettering at the base.
