Lot 395: Two Vintage Clear and Cut Lead Crystal Decorative Glass Items
Two vintage clear and cut lead crystal decorative glass items, comprising a circular bowl and a large vase. The bowl features deep mitre-cuts in a stylized wheat-ear or foliate arrangement around the exterior, finished with a regular notched rim. The vase is of substantial scale with a thick solid base and vertical optical ribbing extending to a wide, undulating ruffled or handkerchief rim. Both pieces are executed in clear glass of good clarity, typical of mid-to-late 20th-century production. The bowl bears two white adhesive paper labels reading ‘1080’. The vase carries a printed auction label reading ‘HCP Auctions South West’, ‘Lot 395’, ‘1080’ and ‘www.hcpauctions.net’. No permanent maker’s marks or signatures are visible to either piece.
