Lot 440: Antique Victorian Copper and Brass Fireplace Accessories and a Vintage Serving Tray
A collection of antique Victorian copper and brass fireplace accessories and a vintage glass serving tray. The fireplace suite features a helmet-shaped coal scuttle of riveted hammered copper construction, fitted with a cast brass swing handle and a smaller fixed handle to the rear. It is paired with two brass andirons with turned ball-and-steeple finials and scroll-form supports terminating in hoof feet, alongside matching brass-handled fire tools including a pair of tongs and a poker. The vintage serving tray comprises a five-section clear pressed glass dish with a central circular compartment and radial starburst motifs. The dish is held within a silver-toned metal frame, likely chrome or nickel-plated, displaying an open-work stamped gallery and two ornate foliate-scroll handles. No maker’s marks or manufacturer labels are visible on the components.
