Lot 444: A Vintage Singer 221K Featherweight Tan Enamel Sewing Machine
A vintage Singer 221K Featherweight tan enamel sewing machine, finished in a beige-tan enamel with a contrasting dark brown handwheel. The machine features a portable electric design with a fold-down bed extension and a white plastic thread spool pin. It is housed within its original brown vinyl-covered carrying case and is accompanied by a wooden extension leaf and a printed instruction manual. The name SINGER is printed in vertical block letters on the arm and in horizontal block letters on the pillar. The instruction manual is titled FOR YOUR PROTECTION and bears the SINGER brand name. A white adhesive lot label reading Lot 444 for HCP Auctions South West is attached to the exterior of the carrying case. This model was produced at the Kilbowie factory in Scotland during the 1960s.
