Lot 457: Vintage Schneider MIDI AV 1500 Compact Stereo Sound System
A vintage Schneider MIDI AV 1500 compact stereo sound system, finished in black with orange and gold-tone lettering. The integrated unit features a top-mounted belt-drive automatic shut-off turntable, a three-band radio tuner covering FM, MW, and LW frequencies, and a stereo integrated amplifier with a dual five-band graphic equaliser. The cassette section consists of a double deck, with Tape 1 featuring an ARS AUTOMATIC REVERSE SYSTEM and Tape 2 featuring an HDS HI-SPEED DUBBING SYSTEM. The faceplate is printed with the Schneider name, a stylized AV logo, and the text MIDI AV 1500 AUDIO VISUAL COMPACT STEREO SOUND SYSTEM. A white adhesive label reading 457 from HCP Auctions South West is attached to the right side of the unit, and a smaller white adhesive label reading 528 is visible on one speaker. The system includes two matching bookshelf speakers with black fabric grilles, each bearing the Schneider name and AV logo. Two front-mounted 1/4 inch microphone sockets are provided for recording purposes.
