Lot 505: Vintage Boston BN200N Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar
A vintage Boston BN200N dreadnought acoustic guitar, featuring a laminate wood body with a natural gloss finish. The instrument is constructed with a light-coloured wood top, likely spruce, and reddish-brown mahogany-effect back and sides. It has a dark wood fingerboard with standard dot position markers and a matching bridge. The guitar is fitted with a black plastic pickguard and an unusual set of multi-coloured strings. A rectangular paper label is visible through the soundhole, featuring a central globe logo with the script name Boston above, and the model designation BN200N and US printed below. The headstock bears the remains of the script Boston logo, which has been partially covered with large aftermarket yellow holographic-finish adhesive letters spelling MASS. Two white lot stickers from HCP Auctions South West are present, reading Lot 505 on the headstock and Lot 525 on the body, alongside a handwritten paper tag secured with adhesive tape stating OLDER ACOUSTIC GUITAR £25 RES NO 140.
