Lot 519: A Vintage Crown Devon Earthenware Chamber Pot
A vintage Crown Devon earthenware chamber pot, featuring a cream-coloured glaze and transfer-printed floral decoration. The exterior is adorned with two large clusters of pink roses amidst yellow and green foliage, while the interior well contains a single, smaller rose sprig. The piece is finished with a gold-toned gilt line to the rim and a single loop handle. The underside of the base bears a printed factory mark in red and black ink, depicting a crown above the words Crown Devon in script, with the capitalised text S. FIELDING & CO. LTD., STAFFORDSHIRE, ENGLAND, and POTTERS FOR OVER 100 YEARS below. There are two adhesive labels on the exterior: a white label with the handwritten number 9370 and a smaller HCP Auctions South West label for Lot 519.
