Lot 541: A Collection of Vintage Brass Oil Lamp and Decorative Ceramics
A collection of vintage brass oil lamp and decorative ceramics including a stoneware bottle and art pottery bowl. The oil lamp is of brass construction with a multi-tiered circular base and a clear glass chimney containing a visible wick. The art pottery bowl features a mottled blue rim and a tan-glazed interior with a dark incised sunburst motif. The base of the bowl is marked with the impressed characters S / 5 beside a device consisting of a vertical line with a circular terminal, and three small square symbols within an oval border. The tapered stoneware bottle displays blue slip-trailed foliate decoration on a cream salt-glaze ground, with the base stamped Handarbeit. Also included are a clear glass vessel and several white glass or ceramic lids.
