Lot 545: A Collection of Seven Vintage Polychrome and White Porcelain Figurines
A collection of seven vintage polychrome and white porcelain figurines, featuring various pastoral and musical subjects. The group includes five polychrome pieces: a standing lady in a dark blue bodice and floral-patterned skirt with gilded trim; a girl wearing a green headscarf holding a basket of flowers with a lamb; a woman in a blue and white patterned dress in a gestural pose; a boy in a wide-brimmed hat playing an accordion; and a dancing woman in a dark blue bodice and white floral skirt. Two smaller figures are finished in a plain white glaze, depicting children in long gowns, one playing cymbals. The pieces are constructed from glazed porcelain with hand-painted details and gilded accents. The underside of one larger figurine shows an unglazed rim and two circular vent holes but lacks maker’s marks or stamps. A small, illegible mark is present near the base of the cymbal player. The lot includes a paper auction tag reading HCP Auctions South West Lot 563 and a fragment reading Weight 13.82 kg.
