Lot 673: A Set of Four Vintage Clear Pressed Glass Dessert Bowls
A set of four vintage clear pressed glass dessert bowls, each designed in a shallow, flared circular form. The bowls are decorated on the underside of the base with a concentric ring of eighteen raised, rounded thumbprints or bubbles surrounding a central flat circular section. The glass is of good clarity and appears bright throughout. Each piece features an embossed mark on the underside consisting of a single capital letter P impressed centrally within the decorative base ring; on at least one example, a small indistinct character or dash is visible below the letter. These marks do not spell a manufacturer’s name. One bowl retains a handwritten white adhesive label which reads Set of 4 / dessert / side / dishes / 12818.
Condition report:
The set is in very good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or significant surface scratching to the glass (photos 1, 2). The glass maintains good clarity throughout. One bowl has a handwritten paper tag adhered to the interior side (photo 2).
