Lot 692: A Vintage Red Lacquered Metal Adjustable Desk Lamp
A vintage red lacquered metal adjustable desk lamp, comprising a conical shade, a cylindrical support arm, and a circular base. The exterior surfaces are finished in a vibrant red lacquer, contrasting with the white-enameled interior of the shade. The lamp is fitted with a white plastic screw-thread bulb socket and features an integrated black circular push-button switch on the base. It is equipped with a black twin-core power cable bearing the printed technical specification ‘H03VVH2-F 2×0.75mm²’, which terminates in a standard black UK three-pin plug. No manufacturer labels or maker’s marks were identified during inspection.
Condition report:
The lamp is in fair used condition. The red lacquered finish shows surface dust, light grime, and minor scuffs throughout (photo 2). The white-enameled interior of the shade shows light surface marks (photo 3). The power cable is currently tangled and wound tightly around the support arm (photo 1). The bulb is missing. This vintage electrical item requires testing by a qualified electrician prior to use.
