Lot 792: Sharp R-246 Vintage 800W Microwave Oven
A vintage Sharp R-246 800W microwave oven with a dark teal house and black glass door panel. The appliance features a digital display with a touch-button control interface, including Express Cook presets for roast meats, potatoes, rice, pasta, vegetables, and cake, as well as Express Defrost settings for meat joints and minced meat. Manual entry buttons allow for time adjustments in 10-minute, 1-minute, and 10-second increments. The unit is rated at 800W with a UK heating category E. The interior consists of a white enamelled cavity designed for a turntable-style base. A printed silver-toned logo reading SHARP is positioned to the upper left of the door. Condition report:
There is visible rust, oxidization, and staining to the interior cavity walls, seams, and ventilation areas (photo 2). The glass turntable and internal roller ring are missing (photo 2). The exterior housing shows light surface scuffing and minor marks consistent with age and use. This appliance is sold as untested.
