Lot 815: A Mid-Century Kelvinator Enamelled Steel Refrigerator
A mid-century Kelvinator enamelled steel refrigerator of streamline design, featuring characteristic rounded corners and a robust mechanical latch handle. The exterior is finished in a cream-coloured enamel and displays a vertical rectangular metal badge on the front door, featuring a stylized K emblem above the vertically oriented letters K E L V I N A T O R. The interior contains its original wire shelving units and a dedicated freezer compartment with a central independent control dial. The interior door liner includes an integrated storage compartment embossed with the letters B U T T E R. A white adhesive inventory sticker reading 815 is present on the lower left side of the cabinet. The unit is fitted with a modern black power cable and a UK three-pin plug.

Condition report:
The refrigerator is in used, unrestored condition. The exterior enamelled finish displays significant surface dirt, staining, and widespread small rust spots and pitting (photo 1). The interior shows similar signs of age, with noticeable rust on the wire shelving and general discolouration to the liner (photo 2). The mechanical and cooling functionality has not been tested. The power cord appears to be a later replacement.
