Lot 826: A Vintage Collection of Mixed Genre Vinyl LPs and 12-Inch Singles
A vintage collection of mixed genre vinyl LPs and 12-inch singles, featuring an assortment of approximately twelve records spanning jazz, pop, blues, and electronic dance music from the 1970s and 1980s. The lot includes a DMC (Disco Mix Club) Remix Culture release, with a black sleeve printed in white text reading DMC – STRICTLY FOR D.J.S ONLY and bearing a white adhesive label handwritten 4650. Also present is David Sanborn’s Hideaway LP in a white jacket with blue script, and a Leo Sayer Just a Boy LP featuring the artist in white clown makeup. A Billie Holiday compilation LP is included, with the back cover stating Distributed by SPARTAN records and listing tracks including My Man and All Of Me. A 12-inch single by B.A.S.S. titled ILL at 33 RPM is housed in a graphic blue and white UFO-patterned sleeve, which bears a small white auction sticker reading 826. Further items include a partial medley sleeve by The Miracles and a black jacket marked with the characters M2. A small white adhesive sticker reading 827 is present on the table surface.
Condition report:
The collection shows general signs of age and handling throughout. The record sleeves exhibit moderate shelf wear, including corner dings, edge scuffing, and light ring wear, most notably visible on the darker DMC and Billie Holiday jackets (photo 1). The David Sanborn sleeve shows some yellowing and light foxing consistent with age (photo 1). The vinyl media themselves are uninspected and their playing condition is not graded.
