Lot 849: A Collection of Vintage Vinyl LP Records including Leo Sayer and The Temptations
A collection of vintage vinyl LP records from the late 20th century, predominantly featuring pop and soul genres. The lot includes the Leo Sayer album Thunder in My Heart, originally issued in 1977, featuring a textured card sleeve with a photograph of the artist leaning against a microphone stand. The sleeve carries a white adhesive label at the top right with the handwritten digits 46510 and a white rectangular auction label for HCP Auctions South West, Lot 849 at the lower centre. Accompanying this is The Temptations Greatest Hits: 18 Classic Hits, presented in a gloss-finished jacket with a tracklist including Just My Imagination, Cloud Nine, and Ball of Confusion. A various artists compilation album is visible at the base of the stack, containing tracks such as April in Portugal by Baxter and Mean Man by Jackson. These pressings appear to be standard UK market releases from their respective periods of the 1970s and 1980s.
Condition report:
The Leo Sayer sleeve exhibits heavy ring wear, significant scuffing along all four edges, and noticeably bumped corners (photo 1). The Temptations sleeve shows moderate ring wear and light corner bumping (photo 2). The vinyl discs have not been inspected outside of their jackets; based on the visible sleeve wear, they are likely in played condition with potential surface marking. The items are shown stored horizontally in a stack, which carries a risk of disc warping (photo 2).
