Lot 86: Vintage X-Rated Shockwave Steel Frame BMX Bicycle with Mag Wheels
A vintage X-Rated Shockwave steel frame BMX bicycle with mag wheels, finished in a bright red paint. The bicycle is constructed with a tubular steel frame and features distinctive black five-spoke composite mag-style wheels fitted with pneumatic tyres. The mechanical configuration includes a single-speed drivetrain with black plastic platform pedals and a partial metal chain guard. Braking is provided by front and rear rim-pull callipers controlled by handlebar-mounted levers. The bicycle is fitted with a black padded saddle and textured rubber hand grips on rising BMX handlebars.
The top tube bears a blue and white decal reading SHOCKWAVE in a stylized font. The rear stays and front forks feature white decals reading X RATED. The saddle is also printed with the characters X RATED in white. A white adhesive lot or price tag is attached to the top tube reading 99p and 086. The rear wheel rim retains a small manufacturer barcode sticker.
