Lot 939: A Vintage Five-Fin Electric Oil-Filled Radiator
A vintage electric oil-filled radiator featuring a five-fin heating design. The appliance is constructed with five vertical metal heating fins finished in a neutral beige tone, joined to a grey plastic front control housing. The unit is designed for portability, incorporating an integrated carry handle at the top and mounted on four swivelling caster wheels. The front panel includes a rotary adjustable thermostat dial and a dual-rocker power switch for selecting heat settings. A warning reading DO NOT COVER is embossed in red characters on the handle. To the rear, an integrated cable wrap holds a black power lead fitted with a standard UK 3-pin plug. Two adhesive labels are present on the front face: a large handwritten label marked 577 in green ink, and a smaller printed inventory label for HCP Auctions South West identifying the item as Lot 939.
Condition report:
The radiator exhibits a significant accumulation of surface dust and grime, particularly concentrated between the vertical heating fins. There are minor superficial scuffs and scratches to the painted fins and plastic control housing consistent with age and previous utility. The appliance has not been electrically tested for safety or functionality.
