Lot 944: A Set of Four Vintage Pine Windsor Hoop-Back Spindle Dining Chairs
A set of Four vintage pine Windsor hoop-back spindle dining chairs in a modern country fashion. Each chair is constructed with a curved, steam-bent hoop back enclosing several vertical spindles. The solid, contoured pine seats are supported by turned legs joined by an H-shaped stretcher arrangement for stability. The timber is finished throughout in a clear honey-coloured lacquer. A small rectangular white adhesive label is present on a back spindle and a leg of the chairs, featuring a barcode and the characters 9 4 4. No permanent maker’s stamps, brands, or engraved labels are visible on the exterior of the frames.

Condition report:
The chairs show signs of regular domestic use, with visible scattered surface scratches, scuffs, and small indentations to the wooden frames and seats. There is noticeable wear to the lacquer finish along the leading edges of the seats and the tops of the hoop backs. Structurally, the joints appear intact and stable.
