Lot 947: A Mid-Century Wooden and Laminate Child's Table and Chair Set
A mid-century wooden and laminate child’s table and chair set, of simple utilitarian construction. The rectangular table features a pale blue laminate top with a silver-tone metal wrap-around edge trim, supported by a wooden underframe and four splayed, tapered legs. The accompanying chair is designed with a T-back frame, featuring a yellow-painted curved plywood backrest and a seat and backrest insert finished in a blue and white geometric cross-patterned material. A small white adhesive label is affixed to the upper right corner of the table top, printed with the digits ‘947’.

Condition report:
The laminate table top exhibits significant circular staining and surface discolouration (photo 1). The yellow-painted chair backrest shows substantial paint loss, flaking, and chipping (photo 1). The wooden frames of both the table and chair display general scuffing, scratches, and wear consistent with extensive use (photo 1).
