Lot 976: A Vintage Early 20th Century Painted Wood Toilet Swing Mirror
A vintage early 20th century painted wood toilet swing mirror, featuring an arched mirror plate suspended between two upright supports with turned wooden adjustment knobs. The mirror is mounted on a rectangular plinth base which incorporates a single full-width storage drawer. The entire piece has been finished in a later application of light grey paint. The interior of the drawer is lined with a floral patterned paper depicting roses and poppies. A white rectangular adhesive label is adhered to the base, printed with the characters 976.

Condition report:
The mirror plate shows visible foxing and silvering loss towards the edges (photo 1). The later painted finish exhibits scuffs, chips, and general wear throughout the frame and base (photo 1). The floral drawer lining is stained and beginning to peel at the edges (photo 2). A metal paperclip is present inside the drawer (photo 2).
