Lot 99: A Vintage Electric Corded Line Trimmer and Extension Lead
A vintage electric corded line trimmer and extension lead, suitable for domestic garden maintenance. The tool features a red and black plastic motor housing unit connected to a straight aluminium shaft. It is designed with a main handle incorporating a trigger mechanism and an adjustable secondary loop handle, which is currently bound with white adhesive tape. A black plastic safety guard is positioned at the base above the cutting head. The trimmer is supplied with a substantial length of orange-jacketed extension cable, which is coiled and secured to the upper portion of the shaft with plastic cable ties. Several labels are present: a white printed label on the main body reads ‘HCP Auctions South West’, ‘Lot 099’, and ‘www.hcpauctions.net’; a handwritten adhesive label next to this reads ‘477 working’; and a second handwritten label on the metal shaft reads ‘477 weed’. There is no legible manufacturer’s name, brand logo, or model plate visible on the unit.
