Lot 1058: A Late Victorian Mahogany and Gilt-Metal Triptych Dressing Table Mirror
A Late Victorian mahogany and gilt-metal triptych dressing table mirror, comprising a central fixed rectangular panel and two hinged side mirrors. The frames are finished in a dark mahogany tone and are surmounted by ornate cast gilt-metal neoclassical crests featuring acanthus leaf scrolls and central foliate motifs. The side panels are supported by slender vertical brass rods capped with small ball finials. One side panel’s reverse has been coated with non-original gold-coloured paint, while the other appears in a dark finish. No maker’s marks, signatures, or manufacturer labels are visible on the frame, glass, or backings.
