A collection of six late Victorian Admiral Lord Nelson framed prints, featuring two large-format monochrome engravings after paintings by Daniel Maclise, R.A. (1806–1870). These primary works are titled THE MEETING OF WELLINGTON AND BLÜCHER ON THE FIELD OF WATERLOO AFTER THE VICTORY 1815 and THE DEATH OF NELSON BATTLE OF TRAFALGAR 21st October 1805. Each bears a printed inscription in the lower margin reading Engraved from the above painting by DANIEL MACLISE, R.A. 1862. Also included is a smaller hand-coloured print depicting a naval engagement, bearing a handwritten-style label Nelson mortally wounded at Trafalgar and a faint printed publisher signature for Jones & Co at the lower right. A handwritten paper label affixed to one frame is inscribed 6 x Admiral Lord Nelson Prints 1893. The works are housed in various gilt-wood and black-stained wooden frames under glass.
