Lot 1072: A Vintage Solid Pine Multi-Drawer Apothecary Chest of Drawers
A vintage solid pine multi-drawer apothecary chest of drawers. The chest features a ten-drawer configuration arranged with four small drawers across the top row above three tiers of two wider drawers. The drawer fronts are finished with bevelled edges and fitted with matching turned pine mushroom-style knobs. Internal inspection of the drawer boxes confirms solid wood construction throughout, including solid pine planked bases and sides rather than plywood or composite materials (photo 3). The unit is finished in a warm honey-toned lacquer. No maker’s marks, labels, or stamps were identified during inspection.
