A vintage blue-grey cantilever metal toolbox and a collection of hand tools, including mechanical and general maintenance equipment. The five-tray cantilever box retains remnants of a blue-grey finish beneath heavy surface oxidation and corrosion. The contents include a set of metric combination spanners housed in a blue plastic roll, marked ‘COMBINATION SPANNERS / CHROM VANADIUM / CHROM PLATED POLISHED / SET No 32 / 6 – 17 MM’, and individual spanners stamped ‘CHROM-VANADIUM’ with sizes ’12 MM’ and ’17’ visible. The lot also features a wooden-handled claw hammer, a wooden-handled putty knife / scraper with paint residue, a blue plastic-stocked sliding bevel, various screwdrivers, masonry drill bits, and a metal file. A small amber glass apothecary-style jar with a white cap and a quantity of loose hardware such as nails, screws, and wall plugs are also present. An adhesive paper label to the lid is hand-inscribed ‘Full of Tools of Assorts old & new’.
