Lot 236: A Cast Stone Art Nouveau Garden Wall Plaque
A cast stone Art Nouveau garden wall plaque, depicting the profile of a woman with long, flowing hair and floral accents. The piece is constructed from reconstituted stone with a textured, granular surface. The female figure is shown in relief, with intricate detailing in the wavy strands of hair and the poppy-like flower motifs at the base and side of the head. The surface exhibits a naturally weathered patina with varying shades of grey and buff, including areas of darker surface staining and minor biological growth. The reverse of the plaque is flat and unfinished, featuring a single pre-drilled circular mounting hole. No maker marks or signatures are visible on the cast stone body.
