Lot 341: A Vintage Mahogany Oval Dressing Table Swing Mirror
A vintage mahogany oval dressing table swing mirror, also known as a toilet mirror, designed in the Georgian fashion. The mirror features a bevelled oval plate housed within a moulded mahogany frame, which is pivoted between two elegant S-scroll upright supports. The frame is adjustable and secured by functional brass thumb screws on either side. The entire assembly stands on a trestle-style base featuring out-swept, curved feet for stability. The mahogany timber displays a warm, rich colour with a polished finish throughout. The reverse side of the mirror is fitted with a solid timber backboard. There are no visible maker’s marks, signatures, or original labels on the piece.
