Lot 397: A Collection of Cookery Books and Assorted Kitchenware
An assortment of approximately 14 hardcover cookery books, many with original dust jackets. The collection includes a variety of titles by prominent authors, including a set of three volumes by Delia Smith comprising The Summer Collection, The Winter Collection, and Christmas, along with her volume How to Cheat at Cooking. Other notable titles include Rick Stein’s India and Long Weekends, Jamie Oliver’s One and Together, and Madhur Jaffrey’s Indian Cookery. Several of these volumes bear a printed BBC logo on the spine. The lot also contains the Good Housekeeping Cookery Book, Carole Clements and Elizabeth Wolf-Cohen’s French with a printed HH logo for Hermes House, and a large-format volume titled Kachka: A Return to Russian Cooking by Bonnie Frumkin Morales, published by H.F. Ullmann. A volume titled Curry Bible features a printed Marks & Spencer logo on the spine. Included with the books is an assortment of kitchenware featuring a white ceramic jar with a printed black label reading MARKS & SPENCER Ltd. MATURE STILTON, with additional text referencing the Tuxford & Tebbutt Creamery in Melton Mowbray. The group also contains a small dark green glazed ceramic teapot, a blue and white ceramic bowl decorated with a fish motif, several clear glass tumblers, and a selection of kitchen utensils including a wooden spoon, a metal whisk, and a black plastic slotted turner.
