Lot 404: A Group of Vintage Racing Toys Including a Nikko Dune Tiger RC Buggy and a Hornby Slot-Car Racing Set
A collection of molded plastic toy racing vehicles and components. The lot features a Nikko radio-controlled buggy with a blue and yellow body, fitted with a yellow roll cage and oversized rubber tires. The body is decorated with printed decals reading DUNE TIGER, NIKKO, SUPER BUGGY, OFF ROAD, and turbo. The rear wing displays a graphic of a leopard and is printed with the text Dune Tiger turbo fighting spirit. The associated handheld radio transmitter features a printed label reading NIKKO R/C SYSTEMS FULL FUNCTION.
The collection also includes a British-made Hornby electric slot-car racing system. This set comprises multiple sections of black plastic track with twin metal rails. The undersides of the track pieces feature embossed markings including MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN. One specialized track section is embossed with 12V =, HORNBY, Hornby Hobbies Ltd, Margate, Kent, England. Two black handheld controllers with yellow triggers are present.
