Lot 428: An Assortment of Decorative Porcelain and Glassware
An assortment of decorative porcelain and glassware, including a pair of lustre-glazed figurines depicting women in traditional Japanese dress, finished in iridescent shades of peach and blue. The collection further includes a hand-painted ceramic clown figurine holding a football, a globular money box with yellow and green scroll decoration on a textured grey ground, and a stack of white porcelain plates with green scrolling borders and gilt rims. The glassware comprises a pair of heavy cut-glass decanter stoppers with square-profile tops and starburst cut patterns, a cylindrical storage jar with a silver-toned metal lid, and a small glass bowl containing a dried organic specimen. A white ceramic bowl partially wrapped in tissue paper is also included. No maker’s marks, factory stamps, or signatures were visible on any of the items from the provided angles.
